Unleashing the Potential of "Mighty Minds"
More Than a Diagnosis: Celebrating Your Child’s Unique Strengths in Our New ADHD Support Group
Parenting a child with ADHD often feels like a whirlwind of school meetings, reminders, and "don’t do that" moments. It’s easy to get caught up in the challenges of focus and impulsivity, but at Serenity Counseling, we see something else entirely: Mighty Minds.
We see the creativity, the boundless energy, the "out-of-the-box" thinking, and the deep empathy that so often come packaged with an ADHD brain. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our upcoming free group: Mighty Minds.
Led by Someone Who "Gets It"
We are proud to share that this group will be led by Victoria Fieni, our Counseling Intern. Victoria brings a unique and powerful perspective to Serenity Counseling; before transitioning into clinical mental health, she spent over a decade as an educator in the Cherry Hill School District.
With a dual degree in Elementary Education and Psychology, Victoria has spent her career supporting children through vital developmental stages. She knows firsthand the challenges ADHD can present in a school setting, but she also knows the incredible resilience and potential these students possess. Victoria’s approach combines person-centered care with Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help kids feel truly seen, heard, and empowered.
Why Focus on Strengths?
Traditional approaches to ADHD often focus solely on what a child can’t do. Our group flips the script. While we provide practical tools for managing the day-to-day hurdles, Victoria’s goal is to help children recognize and celebrate their unique strengths.
In this positive, supportive environment, your child will learn to navigate:
Emotional Regulation: Understanding big feelings and how to ride the waves.
Friendship Skills: Building meaningful connections with peers who "get" them.
Confidence & Self-Understanding: Helping them see their ADHD as a different way of processing the world, not a deficit.
